Privacy notice.

Vehicle lookups use official public-sector data sources and are processed for legitimate interests: providing the vehicle check requested by the user and protecting the service from abuse.

Vehicle lookups	The registration you enter is sent to DVSA and DVLA APIs to perform the check, and a snapshot of the API response is cached so repeat lookups are fast. Lookup logs store salted hashes of the registration and requesting IP address rather than raw values.
Cached snapshots	Cached vehicle snapshots are kept to serve repeat lookups and to recover from upstream outages. Target retention is 90 days unless a snapshot is needed for abuse prevention or operational debugging.
Cookies and analytics	MOTIntel sets no cookies and currently runs no analytics. If privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics are added later, this notice will be updated first.
Emails	MOTIntel does not collect email addresses and sends no email. If an MOT reminder service is added later, it will be consent-based with one-click unsubscribe, and this notice will be updated first.
